Help Your Child Get Ready for Kindergarten at Feb. 23 Oh Wow! Event

Alta Head Start presents Get Ready for Stardom in Kindergarten at Oh Wow! The Roger and Gloria Jones Children’s Center for Science and Technology on Friday February 23, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 pm.

This is a great way to get your child ready to go to kindergarten! Members of your community will share kindergarten registration dates and also provide you with registration packets.

At this event, you’ll:

• Learn how to assist Head Start and your local school district in linking state Early Learning standards in language, literacy and numeracy experiences for your child
• Become familiar with kindergarten readiness cognitive, social, emotional and physical expectations
• Experience and gather home activities that will allow you to build upon your child’s current skills
• Get to know your local school districts, as well as come see what other educational opportunities the community offers

Kids can get their photo taken with Marshall from Paw Patrol from 6:00 to 7:00 pm. You can also register to win a Stardom in Kindergarten basket of supplies.
