Head Start Staff Receives Asthma Training

Marilyn Walton of Akron Children’s Hospital, recently conducted a training session for Alta Head Start staff on the subject of asthma.

Our staff is required to be trained in how to recognize signs and symptoms of a particular disease and how to administer medication to any child enrolled in Alta Head Start/Early Head Start that has a medical diagnosis. Akron Children’s Hospital provides services for asthma and diabetes education free of charge, and visits all Alta locations to provide information and hands-on training whenever needed.
