Family and Community Services Manager
I have been with the Head Start program for 23 years. During this time, I have held various positions within the Education Department. I have a Master in Education in Teaching and Curriculum and an Associate in Science in Community Service from Pennsylvania State University as well as a Bachelor of Science in Applied Science in Child Development from Youngstown State University. I have served as the Family and Community Partnership Manager since April 2017.
I manage the daily operation of the Family Service Content Area, ensuring that Head Start Performance Stands are implemented and achieved. I am responsible for supervising and supporting the Family Advocates as they assist and support the families and children of the Head Start and Early Head Start Programs. Our goal is to provide opportunities and support for the advancement of the Head Start/Early Head Start families as they identify their own strengths, needs, interests and solutions working toward self-sufficiency.
